Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Saturday, April 13, 2019 12 P.M. Southwest corner of the intersection of 1st Street and Washington Wichita, Kansas 67208 Event Description The purpose of the Wichita Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Walking Tour is to provide an opportunity for the board members to experience public spaces and how they impact the safety, convenience, and comfort of walking. The tour will also be an opportunity to discuss how public spaces are designed, constructed, and maintained. Staff estimate that the tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Staff from the City of Wichita will lead the tour and it will be conducted while walking. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend. Those who wish to participate but do not wish to walk can drive, bicycle, and/or take transit to locations along the route and meet up with the tour participants. Route The tour will generally travel in the Old Town area, along Washington Street and Douglas Avenue.
