DISTRICT II ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA December 17, 2018 Rockwell Branch Library 6:30 p.m. 5939 E. 9th Street Wichita, KS 67208 ORDER OF BUSINESS Call to Order Approval of Agenda for December 17, 2018 New Business District II Council Vacancy applicant interviews Janet Johnson, Manager for the Office of Community Services, will review the interview process, and then the DAB will conduct interviews. 1. The seven candidates will be interviewed in alphabetical order. While each candidate is being interviewed, the other candidates will be in a separate room. 2. DAB members will read the questions to the candidates. 3. Candidates have a maximum of four minutes to answer each question. They are not required to use the entire four minutes. 4. Each DAB member, who is not an applicant, will have a score sheet to rate the responses from each applicant. Staff from the City Clerk’s office will tally the scores and the names of the top five ranking candidates will be forwarded in alphabetical order to the City Council for consideration. 5. DAB members should not vary from the listed questions and questions from the public will not be entertained. This will ensure that all candidates are treated fairly and that the interviews can be completed in a timely fashion. 6. Contact information for Wichita City Council members will be provided to the DAB and to the public, so they can express their feelings regarding the candidates. 7. The City Council will conduct one-on-one interviews with the candidates between Dec. 20th and Jan. 7th. 8. The City Council will vote on the replacement on Jan. 8th and the successful applicant will be sworn in on Jan. 15th.
