Recommended Action: Provide comments/take appropriate action. STAFF REPORTS 3. Police Report Community Police Officers will report on community policing issues in the area. Recommended Action: Receive and file. 4. Fire Report WFD will report on any specific issues of concern in the area. Recommended Action: Receive and file.  NEW BUSINESS 5. Westside Transit Service Improvement Project Philip Zevenbergen, Transit, will present this item to get public input on design improvements to the west side transit service routes. Recommended Action: Provide comment. 6. CON2013-00025 Planning staff will present this conditional use request for wrecking and salvage in LI Limited Industrial zoning, generally located north of Esthner and east of I-235 (4740 W Esthner.) Recommended Action: Recommend approval of this request, subject to the conditions listed in the staff report. 7. ZON2013-00027 Planning staff will present this city zone change from LC & B to LC on property located at the SW corner of Maple and McLean. Recommended Action: Recommend approval of this request. 8. CUP2013-00034 Planning staff will present this creation of a new Community Unit Plan (CUP) for commercial development in LI Limited Commercial (LC) zoning, generally located north of West Kellogg and west of West Street (4150 W. Kellogg). Recommended Action: Recommend approval of this request subject to platting within one year and subject to the conditions listed in the staff report. 9. ZON2013-00031 Planning staff will present this zone change request from SF-5 Single- family Residential (SF-5) to MH Manufactured Housing (MH) on 1 acre to remedy the encroachment of an adjacent mobile home park, generally located south of MacArthur and 1/2 mile west of Seneca (1525 W. MacArthur). Recommended Action: Recommend approval of this request subject to a boundary shift and the dedication of 35-foot of right-of-way. 10. Recommendations for FY2014 – 2015 Funding Allocations: CDBG, HOME, ESG Funds Mark Stanberry, Housing and Community Services, will present information on funding options through Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year. Recommended Action: Review and comment on community priority needs. 11. Nomination of Grants Review Committee Representative – District IV Mark Stanberry, Housing and Community Services, will present information on the nomination process for the Grants Review Committee. Recommended Action: Nominate a representative to the Grants Review Committee. 12. WPD Response to Occupy Wichita Police will present information on how both criminal and administrative investigations of officer misconduct are conducted. Recommended Action: Review and discuss. Updates, Issues, and Reports Opportunity is provided for the Council Member and District Advisory Board Members to report any activities, events, or concerns in the neighborhoods and/or Council District.
