NEW BUSINESS

sources from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership
Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive information and file.
Nomination of Grants Review Committee Representative for District IV:
We are requesting that a DAB 4 member be nominated for this committee and serve during the
2020 time period.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the nomination by vote.
Design Concept for west Pawnee Avenue, 119th St W to 135th St W:
Pawnee Avenue, between 119th Street West and 135th Street West is a narrow, two-lane road
section with no shoulders and ditches for drainage directly adjacent to the road. As traffic has
increased with area development and Goddard school access, safety concerns have increased
regarding vehicles potentially leaving the roadway with little to no room for recovery due to the
ditches. While projected future traffic counts do not warrant added lane capacity, improvements
to provide a safer travel way and possible future pedestrian access are needed at this time.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Based upon the information available staff recommends
APPROVAL of the design concept.
