DISTRICT V ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA (REVISED) March 17, 2014 Wichita Fire Station #21 6:30 p.m. 2110 N. 135th St. W. ORDER OF BUSINESS Welcome from Council Member Jeff Longwell Call to Order Approval of Minutes for February 24, 2014 Approval of Agenda for March 17, 2014 Public Agenda The public agenda allows members of the public to present issues not on the agenda to the Board. Each presentation is limited to five minutes unless extended by the Board. 1. Scheduled items No scheduled items Recommended Action: Receive and file. 2. Off Agenda items Any individual present that did not request to speak on the public agenda prior to the meeting may speak at this time. Recommended Action: Receive and file. Staff Reports 3. Community Police Report Community Police Officers for beat areas in District V will report on specific concerns. Recommended Action: Receive and file 4. Fire Department Report Fire Department Staff for fire stations in District V will report on specific concerns. Recommended Action: Receive and file New Business 5. Westside Service Improvement Project Philip Zevenbergen, Wichita Transit, will present proposed improvements to the bus system on the west side of Wichita. The Westside Service Improvements are part of the overall vision for improvement of transit throughout the community. The service improvements were developed based on public input that was provided in 2012 as part of the Community Outreach Study, input received from Mind Mixers, and analysis of recommendations in the Wichita Transit Long-Range Plan. Recommendations: Provide comment 6. Zon2014-01 Bill Longnecker, MAPD, the applicant requests MF-18 Multi-family Residential (MF-18) zoning on vacant, un-platted property within a larger single-family residential development. Generally located north of West Central and ½ mile west of North 119th West. Multi-family residential development. RECOMMENDATION: planning staff recommends that the request be APPROVED subject to platting within one year. Board Agenda 7.
