DISTRICT V ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA April 21, 2014 Wichita Fire Station #21 6:30 p.m. 2110 N. 135th St. W. ORDER OF BUSINESS Welcome from Councilmember Jeff Longwell Call to Order Approval of Minutes for March 17, 2014 Approval of Agenda for April 21, 2014 Public Agenda The public agenda allows members of the public to present issues not on the agenda to the Board. Each presentation is limited to five minutes unless extended by the Board. 1. Scheduled items No scheduled items Recommended Action: Receive and file. 2. Off Agenda items Any individual present that did not request to speak on the public agenda prior to the meeting may speak at this time. Recommended Action: Provide comments/ take appropriate action Staff Reports 3. Community Police Report Community Police Officers for beat areas in District V will report on specific concerns. Recommended Action: Receive and file 4. Fire Department Report Fire Department Staff for fire stations in District V will report on specific concerns. Recommended Action: Receive and file New Business 5. Deputy Chief Hassan Ramzah will be providing an update on the investigations Division and discussing the importance of reporting criminal activity and working with police to keep our community safe. Recommended Action: Receive and file. 6. ZON2014-00003 and CON2014-00011 Dale Miller Requesting LI Limited Industrial (LI) zoning and a Conditional Use to permit “wrecking and salvage” on 8.1 unplatted acres located approximately 500 feet north of West 29th Street North, east of North Ridge Road. Recommended Action: Based upon information available prior to the public hearings, planning staff recommends that the request be APPROVED based on the conditions listed in the staff report.
