The District VI Advisory Board meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Park & Recreation
Center Lounge Clubroom 2700 N. Woodland, Wichita, KS 67204. There were seven District Advisory
Board members in attendance, two City staff and two members of the public.

Council Member Miller called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.
Approval of Agenda
The agenda was approved as submitted. Motion passed (7-0)

The minutes for April 6, 2015, were approved. Motion passed (7-0)

ZON2015-00015
Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, presented a request from applicant Scott
McPhail, Dorothy Jacobs-McPhail and Carl Jacobs for a zoning change to SF-5 Single Family Residence.
The Current zoning of the proposed site is GI General Industrial and is located at East 39 th Street and
North Hydraulic. The DAB members were provided with the MAPD staff report with a recommendation to
approve.
Action: (Sanders/Weihe) made a motion to recommend approval of the rezoning request as written
in the staff report.

CON2015-00013
Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, presented a request from applicant James
Cummings (owner/applicant), Susan McQuitty (agent) requesting a Conditional Use for a temporary
manufactured home /accessory apartment. The current zoning of the site is SF-5 Single-Family and is
located at 402 W 45th St. N. The agent, Susan McQuitty, was present to answer questions.
Action: (Sanders/Weihe) made a motion to recommend approval of the request subject to the
conditions listed in the staff report.
Motion passed: 7-0

Applicant Scott McPhail, Dorothy Jacobs-McPhail and Carl Jacobs are requesting a rezoning to SF-5

is located at East 39th Street and North Hydraulic.
Recommended Action: Based upon the information available prior to the public hearing,
planning staff recommends the request be approved.
