District VI Advisory Board Minutes www.wichita.gov Wednesday Evergreen Park & Recreation Center April 15, 2015 2700 N Woodland, Wichita, KS 67204 6:30 PM Lounge Clubroom The District VI Advisory Board meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Park & Recreation Center Lounge Clubroom 2700 N. Woodland, Wichita, KS 67204. There were seven District Advisory Board members in attendance, two City staff and two members of the public. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved as submitted. Motion passed (7-0) Approval of Minutes The minutes for April 6, 2015, were approved. Motion passed (7-0) Public Agenda Scheduled items: None Action: Received and file Off-agenda items: None Action: Received and file New Business ZON2015-00015 Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, presented a request from applicant Scott McPhail, Dorothy Jacobs-McPhail and Carl Jacobs for a zoning change to SF-5 Single Family Residence. The Current zoning of the proposed site is GI General Industrial and is located at East 39 th Street and North Hydraulic. The DAB members were provided with the MAPD staff report with a recommendation to approve. Action: (Sanders/Weihe) made a motion to recommend approval of the rezoning request as written in the staff report. Motion passed: 7-0 Minutes 2 April 15, 2015 CON2015-00013 Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, presented a request from applicant James Cummings (owner/applicant), Susan McQuitty (agent) requesting a Conditional Use for a temporary manufactured home /accessory apartment. The current zoning of the site is SF-5 Single-Family and is located at 402 W 45th St. N. The agent, Susan McQuitty, was present to answer questions. Action: (Sanders/Weihe) made a motion to recommend approval of the request subject to the conditions listed in the staff report. Woodland, Wichita KS 67204 6:30 p.m. Lounge Clubroom ORDER OF BUSINESS -- Call to Order -- Approval of Agenda -- Approval of Minutes for April 6, 2015 PUBLIC AGENDA This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for citizens to present issues that are not part of the regular agenda for the meeting. There is a five minute time limit for each speaker. 1. Scheduled items: None Recommended Action: Provide comments/take appropriate action. 2. Off-agenda items: Recommended Action: Provide comments/take appropriate action. NEW BUSINESS 3. ZON2015-00015 Kathy Morgan Applicant Scott McPhail, Dorothy Jacobs-McPhail and Carl Jacobs are requesting a rezoning to SF-5 Single-Family. The proposed site is currently zoned GI General Industrial zoning, 3.67 acres in size and is located at East 39th Street and North Hydraulic. Recommended Action: Based upon the information available prior to the public hearing, planning staff recommends the request be approved. 4. CON2015-00013 Kathy Morgan Applicant James Cummings (owner/applicant), Susan McQuitty (agent) are requesting a Conditional Use request for a temporary manufactured home/accessory apartment. The proposed site is currently zoned SF-5 Single-Family, 0.78- acre and is located at 402 W 45th Street North. Recommended Action: Based upon the information available prior to the public hearing, planning staff recommends the request be approved subject to the six conditions listed in the staff report. BOARD AGENDA 5. Issues of Concern DAB members have the opportunity to ask questions regarding City topics and identify issues of concern to be addressed.
