PUBLIC AGENDA
This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for citizens to present issues that are not part of the regular
agenda for the meeting. There is a five minute time limit for each speaker.
1. Scheduled items:
Wichita Rowing Association will present on their new final plans for a new rowing shelter house in
Riverside Park.

STAFF PRESENTATIONS
3. Community Police Report
Community Police Officers will give a brief report on District VI issues, problems and events.

Staff will give a brief report on District VI issues, problems and events.

NEW BUSINESS
5. Consolidated Plan Entitlement Funding; CDBG, HOME, ESG
John Hall, Housing and Community Services, will present on the entitlement funding and presentation for
nomination of Grants Review Committee Member.
6. CON2018-00041
Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, will present on the City Conditional Use to
permit a Boarding Kennel (doggy daycare) with an outdoor run on less than 5 acres and located closer than

200 feet of a residence on property zoned LC Limited Commercial, generally located 600 feet east of I-235
on the north side of West Central Avenue (5500 W. Central Ave).
7. CON2018-00042
Kathy Morgan, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, will present on the City Conditional Use to
permit a Day Care, General (adult day care) on property zoned SF-5 Single-Family Residential generally
located on the south side of 37th Street North and east of Wormer Street (2235 West 37th Street North).
8. Broadway Safety Corridor Plan and Traffic Pilot Project
Scott Wadle, City Manager Office, will present on the Broadway Safety Corridor Plan and the 1600 N
Park Place Traffic Pilot Project.
Issues of Concern
DAB members have the opportunity to ask questions regarding City topics and identify issues of concern to be
addressed.
Recommended Action: Receive and file.
Neighborhood Reports
DAB members may report events/activities from the neighborhood/homeowners groups in their areas.
Recommended Action: Receive and propose appropriate action.

The next DAB VI meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2018, at the Evergreen Library, 2601 N
Arkansas, Wichita, KS 67204.
