Community Police Report Community Police Officers will give a brief report on District VI activities, issues and events. Recommended Action: Receive and file 2. Fire Department Report Staff will give a brief report on District VI activities, issues and events. Recommended Action: Receive and file PUBLIC AGENDA This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for citizens to present issues that are not part of the regular agenda for the meeting. There is a five minute time limit for each speaker. 3. Scheduled items: None 4. Off-agenda items: Recommended Action: Receive and file NEW BUSINESS 5. 2019 Fireworks Enforcement Summary Deputy Chief Stu Bevis, Wichita Fire Department, will present this information. Wichita Fire Department in conjunction with the Wichita Police Department deployed personnel on the evenings of July 3rd and 4th to enforce the fireworks ordinance. The 2019 summary will be shared. Recommendations/Actions: Receive Feedback 6. Delano/Chisholm Trail pathway project Jeffrey A. Best with LK Architecture, Inc. and Paul Gunzelman, City of Wichita will present the Delano/Chisholm Trail pathway project and request feedback. Recommendations/Actions: Receive Feedback 7. CUP2019-00039 - Amendment of Sweetbriar Shopping Center Community Unit Plan (DP-7) Philip Zevenbergen, Associate Planner, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, will present a request for an amendment to Parcel 10 requirements in the Sweetbriar Shopping Center Community Unit Plan (DP- 7), which is located on the west side of North Amidon Avenue approximately 1,100 feet north of West 21st Street North. The subject property has been approved for the existing self-storage operation for many years. The applicant is asking to amend the restrictions applicable to the self-storage facility that were established by District VI Advisory Board 2 Agenda for January 6, 2020 BZA69-83, which was approved to allow the development of the self-storage facility. BZA69-83 is attached to this staff report Recommended Action: Staff recommends approval subject to the following conditions: 1. The Supplementary Use Regulations of the Unified Zoning Code found at Section IIID(6)(y) shall apply to the self-storage warehouse use on Parcel 10 of the CUP. 2. The provisions of BZA69-83 shall be null and void with the effective date of this amendment. 3. The CUP drawing shall be revised to include the details of this amendment. 4. The applicant shall submit four copies of the amended and approved CUP within 60 days of final approval to the Metropolitan Area Planning Department or the amendment shall be deemed null and void. 8. ZON2019-00050 Rezoning from SF-5 Single-Family Residential to TF-3 Two-Family Residential. Philip Zevenbergen, Associate Planner, Metropolitan Area Planning Department, will present a request to rezone the Lot 6, Block 8, Fruitvale Addition, (one lot south of 433 N. Doris) from SF-5 Single Family Residential (SF-5) to TF-3 Two Family Residential (TF-3). The property is currently vacant. TF-3 zoning district requires a 25-foot front setback and a 20-foot rear setback. The property is approximately 11,400 square feet, with 60 linear feet of frontage along North Doris Street. The Unified Zoning Code (UZC) requires a minimum of 6,000 square feet per duplex building. Recommended Action: Staff recommends approval. 9. Issues of Concern DAB members have the opportunity to ask questions regarding City topics and identify issues of concern to be addressed. Recommended Action: Receive and file. 10. Neighborhood Reports DAB members may report events/activities from the neighborhood/homeowners groups in their areas. Recommended Action: Receive and file. UPDATES FROM COUNCIL MEMBER The next DAB VI meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2020, at the Evergreen Library, 2601 N. Arkansas, Wichita, KS 67204. ADJOURN
