Massachusetts’ Electric Distribution Companies, National Grid, Eversource, and Unitil,
invite you to learn about and provide feedback on Integrated Energy Planning (IEP).
IEP is a way to coordinate across electric and gas networks through strategic planning.
IEP focuses on affordability and optimizing customer and network investments while
ensuring safe and reliable service and supporting Massachusetts’ energy goals.
The IEP Stakeholder Working Group includes representatives from the electric and gas
distribution companies and municipal light plants, the Attorney General’s Office,
Department of Energy Resources, Office of Energy Transformation, Grid Modernization
Advisory Council, and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
During these two December public listening sessions, the public is invited to:
• Learn more about integrated energy planning
• Hear a recap of the topics discussed by the IEP Stakeholder Working Group in 2025
• Gain an understanding of the IEP Stakeholder Working Group process and goals for
2026
Feedback collected during these listening sessions will be integrated into future discussions
among the IEP Stakeholder Working Group.
If you are not able to attend one of the sessions but are interested in submitting comments,
receiving copies of the materials, or have questions about listening session logistics, you
may email the IEP Stakeholder Working Group Facilitator (Environmental Resource
Management) at jennie.cunningham@erm.com.
