CALL TO ORDER Staff Present: Mitch Skov, Leah Christian Guests Present: Kathleen Weinschenk The meeting was called to order by Chair Jason Patrie at 7:00pm Present: 9- Gregory Ahrens, Elke Boyd, Dan Harder, Cathryn Jost, Jason Patrie, Lawrence Simonson, Janet Godon, Karin Loftin and Ann Marie Gortmaker Absent: 1- Arthur Pollard II. STAFF/COMMISSION REPORTS GetAbout/Parks and Recreation - Janet Godon ● Submitting another grant application for revisions to the Columbia Trail Guide ● Also asking for funds to translate Columbia Trail Guide to Spanish ● Hominy Creek trail dedication is Thursday May 18, 2017 at 5:30pm. College Avenue & Paris Road Project Letters to MoDOT DRAFT Letter - Route B/Paris Road Comments Attachments: 2017-02-08 MoDOT Paris Rd Comments DRAFT ■ Boyd presented draft letter ■ Amendments were suggested and Boyd will rework the letter and then commission will vote to approve or disapprove the letter at the next commission meeting DRAFT Letter-College Ave/Route 763 Comments Attachments: 2017-02-13 MoDOT College Rd Comments DRAFT ■ Boyd presented draft letter ■ Amendments were suggested and Boyd will rework the letter and then commission will vote to approve or disapprove the letter at the next commission meeting B. Rangeline/Route 763 roundabout ○ Patrie would like city engineers to look at the striping in roundabout and see if they would make suggestions to MoDOT VI. NEW BUSINESS A. Forum Boulevard Road Diet Concept ○ Simonson presented his idea of a temporary road diet on Forum Blvd. ○ Skov will invite Richard Stone to attend next commission meeting to hear the idea and possibly mock up a design ○ Commision was in consensus with the idea and plan to invite Public Works engineers B. PUBLIC COMMENT VIII. ANNOUNCEMENT/COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Gortmaker mentioned that the are some concerns with pedestrian crossing at roundabout due to distance. This issue was originally brought up by the Disabilities Commission A discussion was had to have the Disabilities Commision sign on to letters to MoDOT regarding Paris and College re-paving. Gortmaker will take the letters to Disabilities commision to see if they'd like to sign-on IX. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Boyd and seconded by Loftin. Motion passed.
