City of Columbia, Missouri Meeting Minutes Finance Advisory and Audit Committee Monday, July 10, 2017 Conference Room 1C Regular Columbia City Hall 10:00 AM 701 E. Broadway I. CALL TO ORDER Present: 5- John Clark, Maria Oropallo, Michele Nix, Lisa Evans and Diane Suhler Absent: 1- Kristian Bloom II. INTRODUCTIONS III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Evans moved to approve the minutes from the June 30, 2017 meeting. Ms. Suhler seconded the motion and the minutes were approved unanimously. IV. OLD BUSINESS Ms. Nix picked up where she left off June 30th in the Council Retreat Power Point. This was with page 37. Beginning with this page and carrying through subsequent pages in the Power Point through page 45, there were questions from the committee and explanations by Ms. Nix to help the group understand where these numbers come from and how things are budgeted. Mayor Treece entered the meeting at 11:42 a.m. Ms. Oropallo addressed Mr. Clark’s previous comments about a Boards and Commission budget line item and possibly having a hard copy of the Ten Year Trend Manual printed. Ms. Nix commented that this was not part of her budget and the group would have to approach the City Clerk about it. The group agrees they would like to have a copy in paper form. Mayor Treece shared that he had recently inquired with the City Manager about a printed copy. He said they could print a copy and have it upstairs for those who wanted to review it. Mayor Treece added that he wanted to drop in and thank the committee for volunteering their time and service. REPORTS Ms. Oropallo quickly asked if there was anything in her finance and budget update that she needed to share with the group. Ms. Nix stated there was not. VII. NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting date is tentatively set for Friday, August 11, 2017. VIII. ADJOURNMENT Ms. Suhler moved to adjourn the meeting.
