Action Items
17-0316 Approves an intergovernmental agreement with the Regional
Transportation District (RTD) for $1.5 million and through 12-31-20 for
study of, design and improvements to the Free MetroRide from Union
Station to Civic Center Station, including changes to curb line, signal
operations and transit operations, to improve travel times and reliability
and help improve the first and last mile connections, in Council District 9.
A motion offered by Councilmember New, duly seconded by Councilmember
Clark, that Bill 17-0316 be approved for filing. The motion carried by the following
vote:
Aye: 6- Susman, New, Clark, Espinoza, Herndon, Kashmann

Consent Items
17-0363 Accepts a grant award from Great Outdoors Colorado in the amount of
$644,082 and a term through 06-30-20, to provide funds to Environmental
Learning for Kids for an education center, to The Urban Farm to expand
and improve an existing community garden, and to Bluff Lake Nature
Center for a welcome center and nature playground for children to engage
with the outdoors in ways that are inspirational, transformational, and
meaningful citywide (201733254).
This Resolution 17-0363 was approved by consent.
17-0364 Approves a contract with Environmental Learning for Kids for $500,000

Colorado towards the construction of a community-based environmental
educational center that features terrestrial and aquatic habitat, walking
trails, interpretative kiosks, and areas for science and environmental
education to be located at 12680 East Albrook Drive in Council District 8
(201733545).
