Minutes Land Use, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Committee Members: Susman, Chair; Espinoza, Vice-Chair; Clark: Flynn; Herndon; New Committee Staff: Zach Rothmier Tuesday, December 19, 2017, 10:30 AM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 6- Susman, Espinoza, Clark, Flynn, Herndon, New Presentations 17-1450 Sidewalk Maintenance and Sidewalk Gap Program updates Consent Items 17-1426 Approves an Intergovernmental Agreement with Greenwood Village and Arapahoe County for $250,000 from each party for a total of $750,000, and for three years for studying and designing certain roadway improvements at the Interstate 25 and Belleview interchange in Council District 4 (201738540). Council Bill 17-1426 was approved by consent. 17-1427 Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation accepting $540,000 and with matching City funds of $60,000 for a total of $600,000, as part of the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Package I to fund the construction of two new traffic signals located at the intersections of 5th Avenue and Broadway, and 5th Avenue and Lincoln Street in Council District 7 (201738519). Council Resolution 17-1427 was approved by consent. 17-1428 Accepts a grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for $3.4 million and for five years, as part of the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Package II to fund the construction of five new traffic signals located at the intersections of Federal Boulevard and 38th Avenue, Federal Boulevard and Kentucky Avenue, Federal Boulevard and Mississippi Avenue, Federal Boulevard and Jewell Avenue, and City and County of Denver Page 1 Printed on 12/19/2017 Minutes Land Use, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Tuesday, December 19, 2017 Colorado Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Council Districts 3 and 9 (201738522). Council Resolution 17-1428 was approved by consent. 17-1429 Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation accepting $540,000 and with matching City funds of $60,000 for a total of $600,000, as part of the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Package III to fund the construction of two new traffic signals located at the intersections of 7th Avenue and Josephine Street, and 7th Avenue and York Street in Council District 10 (201738526). Council Resolution 17-1429 was approved by consent. 17-1430 Relinquishes a portion of the easements retained in the Vacating Ordinance No. 524, Series of 1987, located near the intersection of South Harrison Street and East Alameda Avenue in Council District 10. Council Resolution 17-1430 was approved by consent. 17-1444 Relinquishes a portion of the easements established in the Green Valley Ranch Filing No 39 located at 49th Drive and Beekman Place in Council District 11. Council Bill 17-1444 was approved by consent. 17-1445 Amends an on-call contract with Triunity Engineering and Management, Inc. by adding $450,000 for a new total amount not to exceed $900,000 for project reporting activities and related services for the Office of the National Western Center (NWCO) and the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative (NDCC) including Regional Tourism Act (RTA) reporting, Framework Agreement reporting, and NDCC capital projects tracking in Council District 9 (FINAN-201631263).
