DEPARTMENTAL MATTERS IN THE REGULAR COURSE OF BUSINESS: Mayor's Office Barry Burch Jr. 17-0370 * Approves the Mayoral appointment of Ryan Broughton to Resolution the Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Council (RETAC) for a term effective immediately and expiring 12-31-19, or until a successor is duly appointed. County Court Terrie Langham 17-0369 * Amends a contract with Background Information Services, Resolution Inc. (BIS) by adding $366,714 for a total contract in the amount of $725,256 and to add one year for a new end date of 4-7-18 to conduct name searches related to public Denver County Court data through a web service developed by the court in 2010 (201627011-01). Office of Human Resources Nicole de Gioia-Keane 17-0367 * Revises the Community Rate Salary and Training and Intern Bill Salary schedules for City employees to comply with the State increase in minimum wage for 2017 from $8.31 per hour to $9.30 per hour, abolishes certain pay grades and associated ranges, and moves all classes in the Short Range schedule to the Community Rate schedule. Parks and Recreation Courtney Levingston & Laura Morales 17-0363 * Accepts a grant award from Great Outdoors Colorado in the Resolution amount of $644,082 and a term through 06-30-20, to provide funds to Environmental Learning for Kids for an education center, to The Urban Farm to expand and improve an existing community garden, and to Bluff Lake Nature Center for a welcome center and nature playground for children to engage with the outdoors in ways that are Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, April 4, 2017 Page 2 inspirational, transformational, and meaningful citywide (201733254). 17-0364 * Approves a contract with Environmental Learning for Kids Resolution for $500,000 and through 05-30-20 to provide grant funding from Great Outdoors Colorado towards the construction of a community-based environmental educational center that features terrestrial and aquatic habitat, walking trails, interpretative kiosks, and areas for science and environmental education to be located at 12680 East Albrook Drive in Council District 8 (201733545). Police Laura Wachter & Jeannie Springer 17-0360 * Amends a contract with ShotSpotter, Inc. by adding Resolution $123,909 for a new contract total in the amount of $648,909 and to add two years for a new end date of 12-31-18, to provide the city with ShotSpotter Flex gunfire location, alert and analysis services, and equipment (201525310-01). Public Works Angela Casias 17-0316 Approves an intergovernmental agreement with the Bill Regional Transportation District (RTD) for $1.5 million and through 12-31-20 for study of, design and improvements to the Free MetroRide from Union Station to Civic Center Station, including changes to curb line, signal operations and transit operations, to improve travel times and reliability and help improve the first and last mile connections, in Council District 9. Technology Services Chad Mitchell 17-0365 * Adds $476,810 and two years to the contract with Tyler Resolution Technologies, Inc. for a new total amount of $2,088,503.20 and end date of 12-31-18 for continued maintenance, technical support, and professional services for programs used for assessing property value and the billing and collecting of property taxes (TECHS-CE62074).
