DEPARTMENTAL MATTERS IN THE REGULAR COURSE OF BUSINESS: Mayor's Office Barry Burch Jr. 17-0637 * Approves the Mayoral reappointments of Jody Bouffard, Resolution Dawn Crosswhite, and Jeremiah Whitehead, and the appointments of Riley Cable, Elizabeth Jaenicke, and Michael Taylor to the Denver Lesbian Bisexual Gay Transgender Queer Commission for terms effective immediately and expiring 05-01-19. 17-0638 * Approves the Mayoral appointment of Andrew Fournier to Resolution the Federal Boulevard Business Improvement District Board of Directors for a term effective immediately and expiring 12-31-20, or until a successor is duly appointed. 17-0639 * Approves the Mayoral appointments of Gemma Lockhart, Resolution Neal Meier, and Leah Dawson to the Denver Commission for People with Disabilities for terms effective immediately and expiring on 9-30-19, or until successors are duly appointed. City Council 17-0659 A bill for an ordinance naming the City-owned building Bill located at 2851 Tremont Place the Anna Jo Haynes Early Learning Center. Community Planning and Development Kara Hahn, Scott Robinson & Jeff Hirt 17-0613 Amends an individual Denver landmark designation by Bill reducing the size of the landmark boundary area, for property located at 1940-1946 West 33rd Avenue in Council District 1. 17-0615 Approves an official map amendment to rezone property at Bill 2901 Broadway from I-B UO-2 and R-MU-30 with Waivers & Conditions to C-MX-16, in Council 9. Environmental Health Michele Shimomura & Anthony Stamper 17-0645 * Adds $229,999.82 and one year to the Healthy and Active Resolution Communities Grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment for a new total of $659,999.82 and end date of 6-30-18 to fund the Community Active Living Coalition and to develop policy, strategies, and best practices to increase access to physical activity and active transportation for children citywide (201522193-02). 17-0647 * Approves a $1,124,665 contract with Colorado Health Resolution Network, Inc. doing business as Colorado AIDS Project for medical case management, mental health services, early intervention, emergency financial and housing assistance, and substance abuse assistance to individuals living with HIV/AIDS citywide (201734734-00). Finance Brad Dodson & Michelle Johnson 17-0653 Amends Chapter 20 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code Bill to enable the creation of Tourism Improvement Districts (TIDs) to fund tourism improvements and services citywide. 17-0658 * Amends the Dedicated Tax Revenue Bond Ordinance, Series Bill 2016AB, to clarify that pledged revenues do not include Charitable Corporations, under the Denver Revised Municipal Code. Human Services Ron Mitchell 17-0507 * Approves a $990,000 contract with Jewish Family Services Resolution of Colorado for case management and support for Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, June 13, 2017 Page 3 individuals and families in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. 17-0651 * Adds $218,000 and one year to a contract with Mile High Resolution Montessori Early Learning Centers for a new total of $618,000 through 6-30-18 for short term child care at the Good Beginnings Child Care Center for certain Denver Department of Human Services clients (2015-22525-02). Office of Economic Development Susan Liehe 17-0628 Approves a $720,000 loan agreement with Lowry Affordable Resolution Housing Partners, LLC, in HOME funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development structured as a cash flow loan to provide construction and permanent financing on a 72-unit affordable rental housing project at 6756 E. Archer Drive in Council District 5. 17-0654 Amends a loan agreement with the Denver Housing Resolution Authority (DHA) to enable a lot adjustment that releases 6,000 square feet from the Deed of Trust to enable DHA to build a new headquarters and required parking, in exchange for early repayment of the loan, located at 1095 Osage Street in Council District 3 (OEDEV-201100871). Office of Human Resources Nicole de Gioia-Keane 17-0646 * Removes language that references the recently abolished Bill short range pay table in the City Classification and Pay Plan. Parks and Recreation Jason Himick, Jim Myer & Laura Morales 17-0643 * Amends an on-call contract with Sport Court of the Rockies Resolution by updating the contract exhibits to include a Division of Small Business Opportunities (DSBO) compliance plan. No change to contract amount or duration (201732637). 17-0644 * Approves an on-call contract with Acme Tree Service, Inc., Resolution for $1,000,000 and for two years for tree pruning, tree removal, stump removal, stump grinding, filling of stump holes and other citywide tree maintenance (201735119). Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, June 13, 2017 Page 4 17-0649 * Amends an on-call contract with L.E.R., Inc., doing business Resolution as Renner Sports Surfaces, by updating the contract exhibits to include a Division of Small Business Opportunities (DSBO) compliance plan. No change to contract amount or duration (201732642). Public Works Angela Casias 17-0640 * Approves a capital equipment expenditure for $150,000 for Bill the purchase of a salt brine production trailer for anti-icing & deicing material for citywide snow removal operations. 17-0641 * Dedicates a parcel of land as public right of way as public Resolution alley, located at the intersection of South Broadway and East Exposition Avenue in Council District 7. 17-0642 * Dedicates a parcel of land as public right of way as public Resolution alley, located at 1516 North Xavier Street in Council District 1. 17-0648 * Amends existing Encroachment Resolution No. 20161076, Resolution Series of 2016, granted for a pedestrian bridge, to include the additional 4 feet of dedicated right of way on each side of the alley, bounded by South Broadway Street, Lincoln Street, Arizona Avenue, and Mississippi Avenue in Council District 7. 17-0652 * Relinquishes certain easements bounded by 36th Street, Bill Blake Street, Walnut Street, and Downing Street in Council District 9.
