17-1024 * Approves a grant agreement with the Wallace Foundation
Resolution in the amount of $1,040,175 to fund the Denver
Afterschool Alliance, within the Office of Children’s Affairs,
to work in partnership with Denver Public Schools to align
and improve teaching and support to foster the social,
emotional, and academic development of students at
multiple school locations citywide (201736703).
Denver International Airport
Aaron Barraza
17-1018 * Amends a contract with Nossaman, LLP to add $600,000
Resolution for a new contract total in the amount of $1.8 million and
to add seven months for a new end date of 6-30-18 for
continued legal counsel through the financial close phase
of the Great Hall Project at Denver International Airport
(201629808-02).
17-1036 * Approves the purchase of an aircraft fire simulator at a
Resolution cost of $2,862,215 for the Denver Fire Department Aircraft
Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Training Academy at
Denver International Airport (PO-00021540).

17-1034 * Grants the authority to acquire through negotiated
Bill purchase or condemnation, any property interest as
needed for the traffic and pedestrian safety improvement
project at various intersections on Colorado Boulevard
between Mexico Avenue and Virginia Avenue and at the

intersections of 13th Avenue and Lincoln Street and 8th
Avenue and Speer Boulevard, including easement

17-1035 * Amends an equipment capital lease agreement with Banc
Resolution of America Public Capital Corp. to allow for a partial
prepayment for leased golf equipment at City Park Golf
Course in Council District 9 (FINAN-201416078-01).

17-1033 * Amends a contract with the Colorado Department of Health
Resolution Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), Colorado’s Medicaid
Agency, to add one year for a new end date of 6-30-18 for
HCPF’s County Medicaid Incentive Program Agreement to
allow the Denver Department of Human Services to earn
incentives up to $976,516.35 from the current state fiscal
year based upon meeting specific program outcomes
(2014-19599-03).

17-1030 * Changes the pay grade of the Director of the Denver Office
Bill of Economic Development from A-820 to A-823.

Resolution Foundation for two years to provide fitness and nutrition
classes at the Central Park, Hiawatha Davis Jr.,and Martin

17-1028 * Approves a contract with Downtown Denver Events, Inc.
Resolution for $20,000 and for one year to operate the Skyline Park
skating rink and the Skyline Park beer garden in Council
District 9 (201736694).

17-1029 * Approves a lease agreement with Palm Management Corp
Resolution for $11,328 and for one year for an open-air seating area
for patrons of The Palm Restaurant in Skyline Park in
Council District 9.
Public Works

17-1001 * Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department
Resolution of Transportation (CDOT) for $3,310,727 and through
08-20-22 to fund the Traffic Signal System Improvement
Program (TSSIP) for upgrades to traffic signals to over 100
intersections in Council Districts 9 and 10 (201736600).
17-1019 * Amends a contract with WM Curbsides, LLC by adding one
Resolution year for a new end date of 04-18-18 for the door-to-door
collection, disposal, and recycling of residential household
hazardous waste including oil, pesticides, batteries, and
other materials on an appointment basis citywide. No
change to contract amount (201520767).
17-1020 * Dedicates a parcel of land as public right-of-way as public
Resolution alley located at the intersection of West Arizona Avenue
and South Santa Fe Drive in Council District 7.
17-1023 * Dedicates a parcel of land as public right-of-way as public
Resolution alley located near the intersection of West 14th Avenue
and North Knox Court as part of the Knox Court Double D’s
development project in Council District 3.
17-1025 * Dedicates a parcel of land as public right-of-way as public
Resolution alley located near the intersection of West 14th Avenue
and North Knox Court as part of the Knox Court Row
homes development project in Council District 3.
17-1026 * Amends a contract with CCG Systems, Inc., doing business
Resolution as Faster Asset Solutions, by adding $63,479.02 for a new
total of $558,755.51 and two years for a new end date of
10-31-19 for software used to manage the database of
public works fleet vehicles, equipment and parts,
maintenance history, and vendor pricing citywide
(CE95025).

17-1027 * Approves a contract with Myers and Sons Construction, LP
Resolution for $1,588,659.14 and for five months to rehabilitate three
bridge structures related to the Goldsmith Gulch and Platte
River Rehabilitation projects, including concrete spall and
delamination repair, asphalt overlay, and railing work
located at the Goldsmith Gulch at South Monaco Parkway
and at East Eastman Avenue, and over the South Platte
River at Mississippi Avenue in Council Districts 4, 6, and 7
(201735788).
Safety
Laura Wachter
17-1021 * Approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the
Resolution Denver Police Protective Association for three years for pay
and benefits including salary increases of 3.5% in 2018,
3.25% in 2019, 3.25% in 2020, and changes to the health
insurance provisions.
