Mayor-Council Agenda Tuesday, October 3, 2017 9:30 AM Parr-Widener Community Room City and County Building Room 389 Childrens Affairs Al Martinez & Dionne Williams 17-1008 * Approves the full grant award in the amount of $9,188,648 Resolution from the United States Department of Health and Human Services for a contract term through 6-30-18 to operate the Denver Great Kids Head Start program through the Office of Children’s Affairs to provide services to 1,153 children in Denver (MOEAI - 201736898). Denver International Airport Aaron Barraza 17-1054 * Approves a contract with TransCore, LP in the amount of Resolution $1,303,323.08 for three years for support of maintenance, upgrades, and professional services for the airport's Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) revenue control system and Gatekeeper software at Denver international Airport (201310318). 17-1055 * Approves a contract with Whayne and Sons Enterprises, Resolution Inc., doing business as Whayne Enterprises, in the amount of $3,410,804 for two years to provide janitorial services in the following areas: Airside Parking Lot, Maintenance Center, Ground Transportation, World Port, Trailers, TSA/DPD Dog Kennel, Satellite Badging office, the Carpenter Shop, and the South Data Center at Denver International Airport (201732980). 17-1056 * Amends an airport use and lease agreement with Volaris in Resolution the amount of $916,000 and to extend the term of the contract by two years through 12-31-18 to provide airline passenger flight services at Denver International Airport (201207763-01). Environmental Health Diane DeLillio 17-1057 * Amends a contract with Asphalt Specialties Company, Inc. Resolution (ASCI) and Waste Management of Colorado, Inc. (WM) to Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, October 3, 2017 Page 2 extend the contract term through 12-31-25 to accommodate the upfront costs of installing the asphalt and concrete batch plants. There is no change to the contract amount (ENVHL-201627472-01). Human Services Ron Mitchell 17-1058 * Amends a contract with Denver Health and Hospital Bill Authority (DHHA) - Transitional Residential Treatment (TRT) by adding $230,759 for a new contract total in the amount of $783,216, and to extend the term one year through 9-30-18 to provide services to a minimum of 30 individuals per year involved with the criminal justice system within a comprehensive continuum of care at DHHA's detoxification center Denver CARES (2015-23052-03). Office of Emergency Management Lin Bonesteel 17-1032 * Approves a grant agreement with the State of Colorado in Resolution the amount of $2,269,600 for a contract term through 8-31-20 to accept the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) funding for fiscal year 2017, and to allow the Office of Emergency Management to procure a mobile multi-patient treatment and transport vehicle for Denver Health and Hospital Authority (MOOEM - 201736805-00). Parks and Recreation Rob Davis & Laura Morales 17-1017 * Amends chapters 57 and 49 of the Denver Revised Bill Municipal Code (DRMC) concerning the care and protection of public trees and clarification regarding standard practices of the office of the City Forester. Public Works Angela Casias 17-1049 * Amends a contract with R S Tipton, Inc. by adding Resolution $100,000 for a new total $580,000 and nine months for a new end date of 12-31-18 for organizational change Mayor-Council Meeting Tuesday, October 3, 2017 Page 3 management including strategies and recommendations regarding organizational structural change within different city agencies citywide (201521101). 17-1052 * Grants a revocable permit, subject to certain terms and Resolution conditions, to Denver Bike Sharing to encroach into the right-of-way with one bicycle docking station with a 279 square feet footprint at approximately 2891 Brighton Boulevard in Council District 9. 17-1053 * Grants a revocable permit, subject to certain terms and Resolution conditions, to Digital Cowboy, LLC to encroach into the right-of-way with an underground foundation system at 101 North Broadway in Council District 7.
