Below are items that will be placed on Committee consent
agendas next week. Routine, non-controversial ordinance
requests that do not involve substantive policy changes are
placed on Committee agendas as consent items with the
approval of Committee chairs. Council members receive
advance notice of consent items and may request that an item
be scheduled for Committee discussion instead. If no Council
member does so by Tuesday at 5:00 pm for Committees that
meet on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 5:00 pm for Committees
meeting on Wednesdays, the requests are considered
approved by the Committee and are eligible for filing on
Thursday of the week after the Committee meetings are held
or the consent agendas are approved.
Consent Items
16-1071 Amends the 2003 initiated ordinance that increased the
“Developmentally Disabled Fund” by 1.000 mill to the
dedicated property taxes to add Section 53-550 to allow
for purchasing services for use of the revenues for persons
with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

16-1073 Approves expenditures in the Public Safety Special
Revenue Fund based on a letter of intent from the Office of
National Drug Control Policy for fiscal year 2017 High
Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Program in the
amount of $885,404 for equipment and policing strategies.

16-1077 Approves a percentage-based expenditure contract with
Justice Benefits, Inc. through 12-31-21 to assist in
maximizing the award received from the State Criminal
Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) (201631059).
