Minutes Safety, Housing, Education & Homelessness Committee Committee Members: López, Chair; Kashmann, Vice-Chair; Flynn; Gilmore; Kniech; New Committee Staff: Debra Bartleson Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 10:30 AM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Rollcall Present: 6- López, Flynn, Gilmore, Kniech, New, Brooks Absent: 1- Kashmann Presentations 16-1151 Update: Denver’s Road Home - transportation and facility planning. This Presentation 16-1151 was Heard In Committee. Below are items that are on the Committee's consent agenda for this date. Routine, non-controversial ordinance requests that do not involve substantive policy changes are placed on Committee agendas as consent items with the approval of Committee chairs. Council members receive advance notice of consent items and may request that an item be scheduled for Committee discussion instead. If no Council member does so by the Committee's conclusion, the requests will be considered approved by the Committee and eligible for filing. Consent Items 16-1124 Amends Chapter 42 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code to correct a drafting error in calculating the annual salary for the Chief of Police. This Bill 16-1124 was approved by consent. This Resolution 16-1126 was approved by consent. 16-1132 Amends a contract with Volunteers of America Colorado Branch by adding $464,800 for a new total contract in the amount of $1,781,600 and to extend the term for twelve months for a new end date of 12-31-17, to provide housing for families and single women when all the City’s emergency shelter beds are full (2013-14480-03).
