Chairman Seku + was called to speak A motion offered by Councilmember Kniech, duly seconded by Councilmember Gilmore, that Council Bill 18-0672 be approved for filing carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ortega, Espinoza, Gilmore, Kniech, López Nay: 0 Absent: 1- Kashmann Consent Items 18-0662 Approves a one-year, $828,434 contract with Colorado Health Network (Denver Colorado AIDS Project) and Howard Dental Center for medical case management, mental health services, early intervention, emergency financial and housing assistance, and substance abuse assistance to individuals living with HIV/AIDS (201842310-00). Council Resolution 18-0663 was approved by consent. 18-0664 Adds $217,548 and one year to a contract with Mile High Montessori Early Learning Centers for a new total of $835,548 through 06-30-19 for short term child care at the Good Beginnings Child Care Center for Denver Department of Human Services clients that are participating in programs, classes, job search workshops, interviews, and orientations located at the Richard T. Castro Human Services building at 1200 Federal Boulevard in Council District 3 (2015-22525-03). Council Resolution 18-0664 was approved by consent. 18-0665 Adds $722,144 and one year to a contract with Bayaud Enterprises, Inc. for a new total of $1,030,258 through 6-30-19 for services and support for individuals and families in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program including support for participants applying for Social Security benefits, employment services, and vocational assessment services (SOCSV-2017-34845-02). Council Resolution 18-0665 was approved by consent. 18-0666 Adds $950,000 and one year to a contract with Colorado Women’s Employment and Education, Inc. for a new total of $1.9 million through 6-30-19 for services and support for individuals and families in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program including case management, life skills classes, computer literacy courses, mental and emotional support services, employment services, and lifetime access to coaching to help individuals sustain long-term employment (SOCSV-2017-34819-01).
