Minutes Safety, Housing, Education & Homelessness Committee Committee Members: Kashmann, Chair; Ortega, Vice-Chair; Gilmore, Kniech, Lopez, New Committee Staff: Emily Lapel Wednesday, April 3, 2019, 10:30 AM City & County Building, Room 391 Attendance Present: 8- Kashmann, Ortega, Gilmore, Kniech, López, New, Clark, Black Presentations 19-0304 Amends Chapter 24, sections 11-15 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code to increase the minimum age of the sale of tobacco products from eighteen years of age to twenty-one years of age, remove the ability to sell tobacco products from vending machines, and clarify language to support adequate enforcement of tobacco laws. There will be 15 minutes of public comment on item 19-0304. A motion offered by Councilmember New, duly seconded by Councilmember López, that Council Bill 19-0307 be approved for filing.
