210685 Amending Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Kansas City,
Missouri, Classification and Compensation Plan, by repealing Sections
2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079 and 2-1080 to increase the
starting minimum pay by $1.25 per hour from $13.75 to $15.00 per hour
in accordance with Resolution No. 170628 and Ordinance No. 210625, by
adjusting the starting pay for fifty-one entry level job classifications to be
no less than the new starting minimum pay; establishing an effective
date; appropriating the sum of $1,289,408.00 from the Unappropriated
Fund Balance of various City Funds; and recognizing this ordinance as
having an accelerated effective date.

210686 Approving contracts in the amount of $97,000.00 from the previously
appropriated funds in the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund with
various nonprofit organizations selected as part of the FY 2021-2022
second quarter application cycle for the purpose of promoting
neighborhoods through cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational, and
recreational activities recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated
effective date.

2-1111, 2-1112, 2-1113, and 2-1114 to authorize the director of human
resources to take disciplinary action when the city’s equal employment
opportunity policy is violated, to change the members of the EEO review
committee, and to provide regular employees subject to various discipline
and suspension pending completion of an investigation a
predetermination hearing.

approval at an election called for November 2, 2021, the question of
authorizing the issuance and sale of negotiable interest bearing sanitary
sewer revenue bonds of the City in the principal amount of
$1,000,000,000.00 for the purpose of rehabilitating, improving and
extending the sanitary sewer system of the City in order to provide for its
continuing operation and to maintain compliance with federal, state and
judicial requirements; directing the City Clerk to notify the responsible
election authorities of this election; declaring the City’s intention to set
rates; declaring the City’s intention to reimburse itself from bond proceeds
for bond related expenditures, and recognizing this ordinance to have an

Missouri, Classification and Compensation Plan, by repealing Section
2-1076 and enacting in lieu thereof section of like number and subject
matter to create a Community Engagement Coordinator in the City’s job
classifications; and directing the City Manager to create a new job
description that is specifically tailored for the job responsibilities of a
Community Engagement Coordinator.
