Sponsors:David Tandy (D-4) Attachments: Fact Sheet - Ottobock HealthCare RES 117 2014 A motion was made by Council Member Scott, seconded by Vice Chair Benson, that this Resolution be recommended for approval by the Metro Council. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. Without objection the Ordinance was Untabled. Kathy Donahue, Packaging Unlimited, spoke against the Ordinance Congressman John Yarmuth, spoke in favor of the Ordinance Professor Aaron Yelowizt, University of Kentucky, spoke against the Ordinance Professor Jeannette Wicks-Lim, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, spoke in favor of the Ordinance Without objection, this Ordinance was Tabled. Per Chair Person Tandy, along with the regularly scheduled Labor and Economic Development Committee Meeting on November 13, 2014, there will be a Special Meeting scheduled for November 10, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. for the Public to voice their opinion on the MInimum Wage Ordinance. There will be allotted 10 speakers to speak in favor of the Ordinance and 10 speaker to speak against the Ordinance. Each will be allowed 3 minutes to speak. Adjournment Without objection, the meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m. NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on November 6, 2014.
