O-131-15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 115 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO SHORT TERM RENTALS (as amended) (Action Required By: November 2015) Sponsors:James Peden (R-23), Tom Owen (D-8), Bill Hollander (D-9) and David James (D-6) Attachments: 07-22-15 Short Term Rental Discussion A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Council Member Green, that this Ordinance be untabled. Without objection, the item was untabled. A PowerPoint presentation was given. A motion was made by Council Member Denton, seconded by Chair Person Yates, that the first sentence of the section on TEMPORARY SHORT TERM RENTAL be amended to read as follows: "A dwelling unit that is rented, leased or otherwise assigned for a tenancy of no more than 14 total rental days within a calendar year." The motion to amend carried by a voice vote. A motion was made by Council Member Denton, seconded by Vice Chair Peden, that the last sentence of section § 115.506 ANNUAL LICENSE REQUIRED; POSTING OF LICENSE. subsection (A) be amended by striking "and permit requirement in the Land Development Code". The motion was withdrawn. Emily Liu, Planning and Design Services, spoke to the item. A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Council Member Denton, that this Ordinance be tabled.
