1. Roll call and approval of the minutes from the previous meeting.
One correction to Ms. Barndt's name -- typo in her name when she moved at the
beginning of the minutes. Ms. Barndt moved, seconded by Mr. Shelledy, as amended.
There were no objections.
2. The Board may convene into closed session to hear disciplinary matters and related
information pursuant to s. 19.85(1)(b) and/or (f), Wis. Stats., and to consider and render
confidential advice pursuant to s. 19.85(1)(h), Wis. Stats.
Mr. Kalscheuer moved, seconded by Ms. Barndt, to go into closed session. There
were no objections.
Mr. Kalscheur moved, seconded by Ms. Barndt, to go into open session. There were
no objections.
3. The Board may then convene into open session as authorized by s. 19.85(2), Wis. Stats.
The board discussed two items in closed session, one on a temporary employee
running for political office and will provide an opinion on this matter. The other item
needs to have research done by staff.
4. Report from staff assistant relating to office activities of the previous month.
One request for a confidential opinion was received and will discussed at the next
meeting.
5. Review newly filed Statement of Economic Interest Forms for clarity and completeness.

The board received 18 Statements of Economic Interest and the Board approved all 18
of them after verifying that the home address and e-mail willl be redacted if any copies
are requested under an open records request.
6. Set next meeting date(s).

NOTE: a) Members of the Common Council, and members of its Standing
Committees who are not members of this Committee, may attend this meeting to
participate or to gather information. Therefore, notice is given that this meeting
may constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of its Standing

action at this meeting.

c) Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at
reduced rates (5 hour limit) at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of
East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking tickets must be validated in
Room 205, (City Clerk's Office) or the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
d) Effective July 1, 2005, persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of
the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's
Office License Division. More information is available at
