Sponsors: THE CHAIR A motion was made by ALD. WITKOWSKI that this Communication to Finance be APPROVED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Kovac, Dudzik, Hamilton, Coggs and Witkowski No 0 2. 131627 A substitute ordinance relating to city wage requirements. Sponsors: Ald. Hamilton, Ald. Zielinski, Ald. Murphy, Ald. Perez, Ald. Coggs, Ald. Kovac, Ald. Wade, Ald. Bauman, Ald. Stamper , Ald. Bohl and Ald. Puente Ald. Kovac moved to amend Part 1 of Substitute 1 by establishing that "living wage" means, prior to March 1, 2015, an hourly wage of $10.10 per hour; and that effective March 1, 2015, it shall mean an hourly wage rate based on the average of the poverty guidelines for a family of 3 and a family of 4 ("family of 3.5"). (Prevailed 5-0) A motion was made by ALD. KOVAC that this Ordinance be AMENDED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 4- Kovac, Hamilton, Coggs and Witkowski No 1- Dudzik ---Note: If action is taken on CCFN 131627, it may be referred to the Common Council for action at its regular meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
