2016 AM PowerPoint.pdf
A powerpoint presentation entitled "2016 AM PowerPoint" was discussed by Mr.
Pérez and various HACM Staff, and included the following topics:
- A quick update on HACM Financials
- A thank you to HACM’s summer interns – a new program this year
- An update on Choice Neighborhoods
- A Celebration of Community Spirit recognizing 14 individuals and organizations
Mr. Pérez closed his report with this thought: “If you want to build a ship, don't drum
up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach
them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.” Milwaukee’s Choice
Neighborhood is a big dream and everyone must believe the dream to make it
happen.
Commissioner Diaz also challenged HACM staff to a goal of ensuring 100% of the
children of Westlawn are immunized before Labor Day and to report at the
September Board Meeting with the results.
Adjournment
There being no further business, Commissioner Van Alstine made a motion to
adjourn the meeting at 11:12a.m. Commissioner Mitchell seconded the motion. There
being no objections, the motion carried.
