3. Project Status
John Duggan gave the following presentation:
- Recent Activity
100% design for OMF and portions of mainline complete
Progresssing 100% final design for lakefront and mainline
Project and pre-construction coordination meetings and utility coordination meetings
are on going
- 90 Day Look Ahead
Moving forward with CM/GC on preconstruction activities
Continued private and public utility coordination and design
Finalizing draft financial plan
Conducting project deisgn, utility, and vehicle engerineering meetings
Continued design to 100% of mainline and lakefront line
Ongoing site prep at OMF
RFP for operator to be issued in January 2017
Finalizing schedule with CM/GC
Rail delivery to be scheduled with locations to be determined, with the goal to
minimize impact
Kiewit is meeting DBE/RPP goals and coordinating with City and WRTP/Big Step to
achieve the goals

- Tentative Phase I Project Schedule
Evaluating schedule for OMF and mainline
Create baseline schedule with CM/GC input
Revenue service will begin in 2018
- Budget Status
$66.2 Million spent through December 2016
4. Utility Coordination
Single reimbursement agreement on behalf of all telecoms is being negotiated
All Streetcar water realted work has been completed
We Energies electric, gas, and steam relocation work is ongoing
Project team undertook utility coring investigation work to confirm scope and cost for
private telecoms and City underground conduit
Using a Support for Business Program during utility related work
5. Vehicle Procurement
Executed contract option for OESS system in September 2016
First vehicle delivered in December 2017
Biweekly engineering meetings are ongoing
Final vehicle deisgn review in February 2017
Mr. Korban stated Dallas and Detroit will be getting their vehicles first so we will be
able to see where we want to tweak and make improvements before December.
Mr. Duggan stated there is a testing and startup phase for the Operator to
understand the vehicles. The operator can also visit Brookeville's plant.
Mike Either, Kiewit stated there is an upcoming event with WRTP/Big Step for
workforce development and RPP goals. The event is a recruiting event for people
interested in civil engineering and construction jobs.
Ald. Coggs stated more outreach is necessary to the community regarding this
recruiting event.
Mr. Korban stated the operator will most likely be a national operator with local
employees.

Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit)
at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking
tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are
required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division. Registered lobbyists appearing
before a Common Council committee are required to identify themselves as such. More information is
