The meeting convened at 9:03 AM

3. Project Status
John Duggan gave a presentation on the following items:
- Recent Activity
Reached 100% design for OMF and Phase 1 and progressing 100% Final Design for
Lakefront
Project Meetings are being conducted and there is continued Utility Coordination
CM/GC team continues to develop
Ongoing Constructability reviews
Pre-Construction coordination meetings ongoing
- 90 Look Ahead
CM/GC to complete
Rail delivery to be scheduled, locations to be determined, goal is to minimize impacts
CM/GC to begin track construction
Footing and foundation work at OMF to begin
Continue Private and Public Utility Coordination and Design
Conducting Project Design, Utility and Vehicle Engineering Meetings
Finalize Lakefront Design Drawings
Kiewit engaged in meeting DBE/RPP goals and is coordinating with the City and
WRTP Big Step to achieve those goals
Operator RFP release imminent – to be published on DPW procurement Site and

- Tentative Phase 1 Project Schedule
Final design to be complete in 1st quarter of 2017
Utility relocations be be complete by 3rd quarter of 2017
Construction to be complete by 2rd quarter of 2018
Testing to begin in 2018
Revenue service to begin 3rd quarter of 2018
Lakefront Line
Final design to be complete in 2nd quarter of 2017
Utility relocations be be complete by 1st quarter of 2018
Construction to be complete by 4th quarter of 2018
Testing to begin in 2019
Revenue service to begin 3rd quarter of 2019
- Budget Status
$66.22 million spent through January 2017
Mike Ethier gave a presentation on the following construction process:
Advanced prep work that includes:
Drainage and utility work
Rail delivery scheduled for late March
OCS pole foundations will be drilled and installed
Guideway construction that includes:
Street excavation for track slab for guideway
Setting the track and pouring the concrete slab
Systems and roadway finishing that includes:
Installing poles and overhead wiring
Finishing roadway elements such as pavement marking, sidewalk, and traffic signals
The Maintenance Facility constructed in winter 2017/18
Track construction in April on St Paul and Broadway
Traffic control strategies during construction:
one lane of traffic will remain open in most areas
pedestrian access will be maintained
meeting with businesses and stakeholders along the construction routes
21% DBE
using local contractors
partnered with WRTP Big Step had a lot of interest at job fair
MATC class visiting site to view welding of the rail
4. Utility Coordination
Agreement legal language has been agreed to on behalf of all private telecoms.
Scope, schedule and budget to be negotiated on an Individual basis.
All streetcar related water work has been completed.
We Energies Phase 1 relocation work is nearing completion.
DPW has, and continues to, Employ a Support for Business Program for construction
related work
5. Vehicle Procurement
John Duggan continued to present stating

Bi-weekly Vehicle Engineering Meetings are being conducted
Vehicle Final Design Review February 2017
Anticipated delivery of 1st Vehicle December 2017
Jeff Polenske stated he visited Brookeville last week to view vehicles and meeting
with staff

Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit)
at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking
tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are
required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division. Registered lobbyists appearing
before a Common Council committee are required to identify themselves as such. More information is
