Roll Call Meeting convened at 4:06 PM Individual also present: Sally Witte, Department of City Development Present 14 - Cubias, DeLind, Kingsbury, McSweeney, Morris, Flores, Fraker, Kosarzycki, Kovac, Harpole, Klose, Layden, Balistreri and Hill Excused 3 - Murphy, Murphy and Garcia 2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes Mr. Flores moved approval of the minutes. Ms. Kingsbury stated that she would like to be marked as abstaining from the Woodland Pattern vote at the last meeting. There were no objections to the minutes as amended. 3. Public Art Subcommittee Report Ms. Morris stated the new round of Conservation Fund applications has opened. Ms. Morris moved that any susccessful applicant to the New Work Fund needs to wait a full calendar year after the conclusion of their project to apply again to the New Work Fund, seconded by Mr. DeLind. There were no objections. Ms. Morris moved in any calendar year an arts organization can only apply to the New Work Fund or to the Project Grants Program, seconded by Mr. DeLind. There were no objections. Ms. Layden stated that Kirsten Leenaars Project is open at the Haggerty. Ms. Witte stated that Black Cat Alley project is underway. 4. Presentation: Antonio Furguiele gave a presentation on his Art Barge project. City of Milwaukee Page 1 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD Meeting Minutes July 12, 2016 5. Presentation and Request for Input: The following individuals gave a presentation regarding the South 1st St bascule bridge rehabiliation project: Jerrel Kruschke - Department of Public Works Jonathan Thomas Michael Delemont - AECOM 6. Grants Update Ms. Witte stated final reports for project grants were due June 30th and all have been received. All projects were completed successfully, except for the Milwaukee Public Theater. They returned a prorated amount of funds for the uncompleted work. 7. Old Business There was no old business 8. Announcements There were no announcements. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
