Roll Call The meeting convened at 4:00 PM Vedale Hill joined the meeting at 4:05 PM Individual also present: Sally Witte, DCD Present 13 - Murphy, Cubias, DeLind, Kingsbury, McSweeney, Morris, Flores, Kosarzycki, Murphy, Harpole, Layden, Balistreri and Hill Excused 4 - Fraker, Kovac, Klose and Garcia 2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes Mr. Flores moved approval of the minutes, seconded by Ms. Kingsbury. There were no objections. 3. Presentations - Larry Kilmer from the Department of City Development presented on the City's ARCH Artist Housing Program - Katie Heil, Antonio Butts, and Beth Haskovec presented on Imagine MKE 4. Public Art Subcommittee Report - Funding Recommendations Ms. Morris moved, seconded by Mr. Delind to fund at $1,000 the Lake Park Friends for Alexander Walcott Sculpture application. There were no objections. Ms. Morris moved, seconded by Mr. Delind that the deadline should be revised to read that the deadline is the first Tuesday of the month, to be considered at the next City of Milwaukee Page 1 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD Meeting Minutes March 12, 2019 meeting. There were no objections. 5. Project Grants Report Ms. Witte stated 49 applications were received and 2 applications were ineligible. 6. Old Business Ms. Witte stated the report of the flag was presented to the Common Council. 7. New Business Ms. Kingsbury suggested doing a project associated with the DNC. 8. Announcements City of Milwaukee Page 1 Printed on 3/7/2019 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD Meeting Agenda March 12, 2019 In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids. Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit) at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
