Roll call and approval of previous meeting minutes. Meeting convened at 3:05 PM Ms. McSweeney moved, seconded by Ms. Layden, approval of the previous meeting minutes. There were no objections. 2. Presentation by applicants seeking Mayor's endorsement for Our Town Grant. Sara Daleiden was present on behalf of the applicant, Greater Milwaukee Committee. They are partnering with Riverworks and the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corp. She states the organization would be requesting $200,000 and would match the amount. The additional funds would enable them to expand the current project with additional art installations and orchestrate additional performances. In response to a question by Ms. Morris, she stated there is not a budget breakdown yet. 3. New Work Fund Ms. Morris stated there were no updates. 4. Conservation Fund Ms. Morris stated that the Court of Honor projects will be moving forward. If each statue is worked on individually, there could be an application for each. The Patel statue rededication occurred. Ms. Witte and Ms. McSweeney attended the event. 5. Approve updated applications for Conservation and New Work Funds Ms. Morris stated that the only guidelines on the Conservation Fund that were City of Milwaukee Page 1 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD PUBLIC Meeting Minutes November 11, 2014 ART SUBCOMMITTEE changed were the dates. Applications may be submitted as of January 1st. Applications can be reviewed at the February meeting. The New Work Fund applications can be reviewed at the April meeting and go before the full board in May. Once the forms have been finalized, Ms. Witte will distribute to members so they may forward them to the community. There will be a press release after Thanksgiving. 6. Old Business Ms. Morris stated that $25,000 has been allocated in the city budget towards library projects. Mr. Robison pointed out that the library will be staggering RFPs. 7. New Business The statue in front of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield building may be moved. Ms. Morris stated the board may be able to help find a site, but funds are not available. Some entity would need to take possession of the statue. Ms. Morris stated that the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage DIstrict is looking to decommission the Brady Street Beasts building.
