Roll call and approval of previous meeting minutes. Meeting convened at 4:08 PM Ald. Kovac moved, seconded by Ms. Morris, approval of the previous meeting minutes. There were no objections. 2. Introduction of new Milwaukee Arts Board members. The board welcomed Ms. Garcia. Mr. Hill is new to the board and will be attending the next meeting. 3. Public Art Subcommittee Report Ald. Murphy stated that Ms. Kingsbury is a Mary L Nohl fellowship winner. Sonia Thompson and Adam Carr from the Listening to Mitchell project attended the meeting to give a presentation. Two years of research and development were put in to the project, which was displayed for three months. Art populated seven blocks of the corridor. A phone number with a call to action was displayed for people to call in with stories. One portion of the project involved an 18 channel audio station in an empty storefront. Both open tours and private group tours were offered for the project. The project also included a two year artist residency at a local elementary school. The art from the project is currently being displayed in a local business on Mitchell Street. They are now trying to develop a plan for archiving the art. They will also be working with a library on a map database with temporary projects. City of Milwaukee Page 1 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD Meeting Minutes November 11, 2014 Ald. Kovac stated that the East Library will re-open this weekend. Ms. Kosarzycki stated that the individual who created the Milwaukee mural website may request advice from the board. Ms. Morris stated that the Conservation and New Work Fund press releases will be in early December and applications will open January 1st. Meeting adjourned at 4:48 PM. Notice is given that this meeting may constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of its standing committees, although they will not take any formal action at this meeting. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
