Sonia Thompson and Adam Carr from the Listening to Mitchell project attended the
meeting to give a presentation. Two years of research and development were put in
to the project, which was displayed for three months. Art populated seven blocks of
the corridor. A phone number with a call to action was displayed for people to call in
with stories. One portion of the project involved an 18 channel audio station in an
empty storefront. Both open tours and private group tours were offered for the
project. The project also included a two year artist residency at a local elementary
school. The art from the project is currently being displayed in a local business on
Mitchell Street. They are now trying to develop a plan for archiving the art. They will
also be working with a library on a map database with temporary projects.
