Sponsors: THE CHAIR Mary Dziewiontowski - Department of Public Works 1st Aldermanic District W. Elm St. - N. Teutonia Ave. to a point 1,600 feet west of N. Teutonia Ave. (ST211160107): Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches where necessary, install new walk as necessary, sodding (9-foot width of tree border area), and grading. Arthur Lowe 6643 N Teutonia Ave stated the road needs to be repaired but he opposes the sidewalk on the Northside of Elm St. There are very few people who use the sidewalk. Ald. Donovan moved approval with the deletion of the sidewalk based on the postcard survey, Aldermanic support, and neighborhood testimony. (Prevailed 5-0) 6th Aldermanic District E. Nash St. - N. Fratney St. to N. Holton St. (ST211120171) Concrete pavement reconstruction, widen the pavement from 24 to 36 feet, construct curb and gutter, replace all of the walk on the north side of the street, install new walk on the south side of the street, construct driveways, remove railroad crossings as necessary, sodding (new 6-foot width of tree border area), and grading. George Kolias, Tulip Molded Plastics, 714 E Keefe Ave stated this project is overly grandiose and severely impacts the business property. Bob Viktora – Department of Public Works stated this is a request from Department of City Development on behalf of Riverworks . Ald. Kovac moved to Hold to the Call of the Chair to allow for a meeting with property owners. (Prevailed 5-0) 8th Aldermanic District W. Murphy stated the residents on the 2200 block are opposed to the project, so he does not support the project on the 2200 block, but does support the project on the 2100 block. Ald. Donovan moved approval with the deletion of the project on the 2200 block based on Aldermanic testimony. (Prevailed 5-0) A motion was made by ALD.
