Consideration of May 13, 2026 Meeting Minutes 2) Adjourn to closed session as allowed by WI State Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The Police Commission will interview police officer candidates. 3) Future agenda items 4) Meeting adjournment. *Public Comment Policy Members of the public are invited to speak at meetings of all Mount Horeb Public Bodies. To comment, please complete a Public Comment Form at the Meeting Room entrance and submit it to staff before the meeting begins. Comments are limited to three minutes, must be made from the podium, and the speaker must return to the audience after speaking. • Non-agenda item comments are heard at the start of the meeting. Public Body members and staff will not engage in discussion during public comment but may consider topics for future agendas. • Agenda item comments are heard during the relevant item, after the proposers or staff present the item and before Public Body discussion. All public comments on the item will be heard before any discussion by the Public Body. Members of the public will only be allowed to speak outside these public comment times if they are invited by the meeting chair to share additional information requested by the Public Body. If so invited to speak, the member of the public must do so from the podium. Written comments are also welcome. Page 1 of 2 Village of Mount Horeb POLICE COMMISSION MEETING May 13, 2026 The Police Commission of the Village of Mount Horeb met at 5:00pm on the above date at the Mount Horeb Police Department. In attendance were David Hoffman, Mike McNall, Peter Walton, Amy Kellesvig, Jeff Hook, and Chief Doug Vierck. 1. Call to order – The meeting was called to order by David Hoffman. 2. Motion to approve minutes from the October 21, 2025 meeting was made by Kellesvig and seconded by Walton. Approved 4-0. a. Department Updates: Chief Vierck updated the commission on current and future projects, plans, and happenings. b. Dave Hoffman was elected Chair and Jeff Hook was elected Secretary. c. Department Training: Chief Vierck updated the commission on upcoming trainings and future plans for trainings. i. Hoffman moved to support Chief Vierck to attend the FBI National Academy. Hook seconded. Approved 5-0. 3. Next Meeting a. August or September 2026 4. No future Agenda Items Noted 5. Adjournment a. Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Kellesvig to adjourn.
