AMBULANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 18, 2013 9:00 AM Meeting held at: Division of Public Health & Community Services 18 Mulberry Street Nashua, NH 03060 AAC Members/Designees Present: Kerran Vigroux, Director of Public Health & Community Services Rich Conway, Captain, Nashua Fire Department Justin Kates, City of Nashua, Emergency Management Director Dennis Linehan, Lieutenant-Nashua Police Department Fran Dupuis, St Joseph Hospital Mark Hastings, Southern NH Medical Center AMR Representatives: Christopher Stawasz, AMR Operations Manager Roland Vaillancourt, AMR Meeting Notes: Rich Conway made a motion to accept the minutes of the February 2013 AAC meeting. Seconded by Fran Dupuis. Unanimous acceptance. Chris Stawasz summarized the February and March monthly reports, with highlights that included:  Introduction of Patricia Stolarz, Shift Commander and Community Outreach Coordinator. Patty has been working with Justin Kates to provide training to the CERT team, and is organizing the Nashua activities for the “Hands-Only CPR activities scheduled for 5/22/13.  The Manchester Call Center phone number is now being printed on all NH and Maine client bills. It is located at 35 Pine Street, Manchester, NH. The staff have access to a vehicle and have the authorization to visit clients in their homes should they need assistance with their billing/customer service issues.  AMR has completed this year’s training cycle for Nashua Fire Rescue as per their contract  AMR is launching its new Bike Medic Team on May 1st.  AMR was successful in their negotiations with Anthem and that agreement will be effective April 1, 2013.  Chris will be working with Justin/CERT on a drill/MCI scenario. Questions/Comments from the Committee  Rich asked Chris to clarify the item on the monthly reports where it states “unknown at time of service” for insurance. Chris explained that this is typically made up of self- paying individuals or those that do not pay at all  Justin wanted to thank Chris and Patty for their support of the CERT training. He conveyed that Patty did an excellent job, that she was a great instructor and that the trainees had shared many positive comments with him.  Rich added that the EMS re-certifications went extremely well and that AMR did a great job. As there were no further comments, Fran Dupuis made a motion to adjourn and Rich Conway seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:35 am.
