The Board was given the meeting Agenda, monthly departmental reports, current Board of Health
budget and November BOH Meeting Minutes.
Meeting called to order at 12:45 p.m. by Dr. Storace - Quorum was met (Formal Meeting)
1. Request to vote on the November 2010 BOH Minutes.
a. Motion made to accept the minutes-Dr. Storace

Department Reports
Community Health – Bobbie Bagley presented
Flu shots and immunizations
o School based – finished 17 schools
Total flu shots given at schools: 1,405; hoped to give 1,700.
Dr. Klementowicz referenced that there are competitive vaccination locations that
could effect our lower numbers.
Dr. Klementowicz had additional questions and comments regarding the flu shots.
Lyme Disease report included in each member’s packet
Grants/Child Care – Chris Lister presented
The NH Department of Health & Human Services / DCYF awarded $7,000 in grant funds for the
City of Nashua’s Mediation Program.
Open House at St. Joseph’s Hospital on December 4th for Early Childhood Programs was
successful
A potential Early Childhood Program Resource Fair is tentatively planned for 2011.
Emergency Preparedness – Patty Crooker presented
Community Health Assessment
o All 30 neighborhoods have been completed
o Data is being compiled
Focus Groups
Heath Survey Webinar with CaptureX on how we used the pens
Participated in MP3 Program
Conducted Med Surge Workshop and TTX
Health Education – Corinn Dembkoski presented
Assisted in the CHA and helped finish up the last of the surveys
Bed Bug TV segment with Heidi and Bobbie at the studio
Attended the Project Homeless Connect event on November 30th
November 18th was the Great American Smoke Out
o Did presentation at the Lions Club, as well as City Employees
o Sponsored the “work buddy” for the day and raffle for those employees who quit for
the day
o Did carbon monoxide testing for those wanting to participate
One person had high levels
o Conducted presentations at Nashua North and Nashua South on smoking. Also, did
the same at Keystone.

Environmental Health – Heidi Peek presented
Continue to conduct Food Inspections
Pool Sampling
o Two positives were taken care of by closing and shocking the water
Four dog bites
Holiday Stroll
o Only a couple of vendor problems, which were addressed and taken care of
Participated in the Bed Bug PSA
Welfare - Bob Mack presented
Slight decrease in expenditures this month.
November 30th was the Homeless Event at Harbor Homes
o Over 100 clients attended
o Thirty agencies participated
o Public Health gave immunizations and access to different resources
o Healthcare for the Homeless has been open for two years and is working we..
Toys for Tots collection is underway
o The challenge is to get gifts for the older groups of children
Mediation – Sandy Mulcahy presented
Pleased to be awarded a $7,000 grant from The NH Department of Health & Human Services
for the City of Nashua’s Mediation Program.
Cynthia Day Woman’s Shelter will be at Harbor Homes
Adult Learning Center Project – Homeless Connect
Opportunity for mediation of divorced parents and what will happen to older children with
developmental needs.
Public Comments
Dr. Storace welcomed Lori back
Lori spoke about the immunization of children and wholeheartedly is behind this and will
support it.
