STANDARD REQUESTS
Requests from CERF – Nashua Police Department 2011
1. Request for transfer of $18,559.40 from line item “Police unallocated”, for IMC computer upgrade.
The IMC computer upgrade is a necessary upgrade as it provides high volume dispatch option of the
IMC for faster dispatch times, instantaneous updated call information and overall increase IMC
performance due to fewer polls to the database. This request is contingent upon the approval of the
Finance Committee. The total amount of purchase has not be determine at this time but any amount
over the CERF balance will come from the Police FY 11 operating budget.
Requests from CERF – Park and Recreation 2011
Request for transfer of available CERF balance to replace a 2001 Toro 14 foot mower, GM580-D W/Seat
& cutter. The replacement mower has an anticipated cost of $85,000. Funding to be provided from CERF
unit #01566 – 2001 GM580-D Mower (current balance is approximately $38,225.49) and from the
department’s operating budget line item 552-68045 vehicles in the amount of $48,394. The current
mower is currently experiencing major mechanical issues and is used heavily throughout the department.
This request is contingent upon a vote of the Board of Public Works and Finance Committee in support of
the purchase.
Requests from CERF – School Department 2010
Request for transfer of available CERF balance(s) to replace a 1999 Ford Dump Truck, asset # 99808.
The replacement vehicle will be a 2011 Ford F350 dump Truck equipped with a complete plow system
(similar to one being replaced). Funding to be provided from CERF unit # 99808 Ford 350 Dump with a
current balance of approximately $28,603.04 and from the department’s operating budget line item 581-
68045 vehicles in the amount of $9,030.61. Repair costs for the 1999 truck are becoming prohibitive and
the truck is beyond its expected life.
Requests from CERF – Street Department 2010-2011
Request for transfer of available CERF balance to replace a 1999 Cat D-5 Dozer, asset # 99132. The
replacement vehicle will be a 2010 Bobcat Skid Steer with hydraulic jackhammer attachments. The Cat
D-5 Dozer has an anticipated cost of $60,000 with attachments. Funding to be provided from CERF unit
# 99132 Cat D-5 Dozer with a current balance of approximately $91,485.00. The intention of this
purchase is to address the needs of the new emergency sewer replacement program by city employees as
well as the newly instituted sidewalk removal program.

Discussion on re-organization of CERF
CFO Michael Gilbar will present the CERF re-organization plan to the committee for review and
approval.
