Item Topic Lead Discussion / Conclusions
- Water Chestnut: John Fischer inquired if any committee member would assist with or
possibly add as a trail day activity, pulling water chestnut by hand. Committee
determined this is not a viable trail day activity due to the dangers involved while
working from a kayak. This is outside the committee scope of duties and would be
strictly voluntary.
- Carol Rust canoe/kayak launch: EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports) representative stated
a preferred place would be at the Millyard end of the canal due to ease of parking and
short walk to the canal. Dick Gillespie has ideas on a more simple and cost effective

relocate the beaver from the Cove and will dismantle the lodge/dam.
5. New Business All - Social Media: Nick Serpa will start a campaign to raise Park exposure through social
media outlets. Nick Caggiano feels this is a great way to get exposure and stated there
are a number of criteria that need to be adhered to for this to happen. Nick & Nick will
continue working this with the required city departments.
- Lights: Brian Edwards feels adding lights (possibly with motion sensors) to certain
trails in the park would be beneficial as there are many people that run in the park at
