Event to Expend City Funds and Accept Donations of Materials and
Services for the Event. (Davis)
Recommendation: 1. Retroactively approve the Rainbow and Transgender Pride Flag
Raising scheduled on June 5, 2018 as a City Council sponsored Special
Event and approve the expenditure of funds.
2. Approve and accept donations from various individuals, businesses
or community groups to support the event.
3. Place the item on the June 5, 2018 Council Agenda for action.

24, 2019 and April 7, 2018 at Alum Rock Library; and
c. Trash Punx Litter Pickup on June 2, 2018 at the Capitol Avenue and
McKee Road neighborhood.

community groups to support the event.

a. Spring Fling at Bellevue Park on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Bellevue
Park;
b. Dump Your Junk on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Hubbard
Elementary School; and
c. Clean Up with Tam on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Markham Plaza.
2. Approve and accept donations from various individuals, businesses or
community groups to support the event.

Recommendation: a) Approve a SAP grant to Santa Teresa Little League in the amount
of $8,000 for their general fund for general operating and
administrative expenses to support their upcoming recreational
season in San Jose.
