K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes October 2, 2018. The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board met on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the public library. Present were Board Members Peter Ramey, Troy McQuillen, Sharon Bain, Misty Francom, and Library Director Shirley Arment. Assistant Director Cara Romeo also attended the meeting. President Peter Ramey called the meeting to order. Sharon Bain moved that the minutes of the September 4, 2018 meeting be approved. Troy McQuillen seconded the motion. Motion carried. The librarian’s report, as presented, was discussed. FINANCIAL MATTERS The current list of bills and financial statements were discussed. Misty Francom moved to approve that the current list of bills be paid and that the financial reports be received and placed on file. Troy McQuillen seconded. Motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The Board discussed points from the Library’s Strategic Plan. Shirley Arment reported that the staff is working on an emergency procedure manual and participating in an online webinar about working with homeless people. The Board also discussed ideas to increase library card registrations, add library signage and to increase the library materials budget. NEW BUSINESS Misty Francom moved that the 2019 contract for library service to Brown County be approved. Sharon Bain seconded. The motion passed with 3 in favor and one against. The next Library Board meeting will be Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Public Library. ____________________________ Its__________________________
