K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes December 5, 2023 The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library met on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 5:00 PM at the Public Library. Present were Board Members Troy McQuillen, Peter Ramey and Cindy Senger. Board members Missy Hill and Lynn Klundt were absent. Also present was Library Director Anna Lillian Moser and City Manager Robin Bobzien. City Council Liaison Rob Ronayne was also present. City Council Liaison Erin Fouberg was absent. MINUTES Peter Ramey moved that the minutes of the November 7, 2023 meeting be approved. Cindy Senger seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. OPEN FORUM Patron Robert Faye commented that he thought the City and Board’s response to ongoing water damage and condensation issues has been “underwhelming,” adding that there was a “lack of aggression” on the part of the City. DIRECTOR’S REPORT The Library Director presented a report of happenings and news from the month of November, as well as a list of the library’s planned spring programming. FINANCIAL MATTERS The November list of bills and financial statements was reviewed. A motion was made by Cindy Senger that the November 2023 bills be paid and that the financial reports be received and placed on file. Peter Ramey seconded. The motion carried 3-0. NEW BUSINESS The board agreed to move the upcoming January 2024 meeting from Tuesday, January 2 to Tuesday, January 9. The board voted in favor of purchasing new library merchandise, using monies from the Library Fines Fund. A motion was made by Cindy Senger to approval the spending. Peter Ramey seconded. The motion carried 3-0. OLD BUSINESS The board voted in favor of the revised, proposed Library Goals for 2024. Each year the board of trustees compiles a list of goals which work as a sort of map for the library staff in the coming months. Peter Ramey moved that the Goals for 2024 be approved. Cindy Senger seconded the motion. Motion carried 3- 0. A motion was made by Peter Ramey to adjourn the meeting. Cindy Senger seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0. The meeting was adjourned by Troy McQuillen. The next Library Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Public Library. ____________________ Its___________
