The Common Council was convened at 5:30 p.m. and was called to order by Council President
Ellis
Members Present: Balarin, Farrell, Frederick, Hoey, Keegan, Kimbrough, Romero and Zamer
Staff Present: Danielle Gillespie, John-Raphael Pichardo, Brett Williams, Shaniqua Dowdy and
Ethan Samuel
Discussion/Questions:
Council Member Kimbrough discussed the Agenda for the July 7th Regular Meeting
Council Member(s) Balarin, Kimbrough and Hoey discussed Local Law G of 2022
Council Member(s) Balarin, Kimbrough and Hoey and Research Council John-Raphael
Pichardo discussed when the Planning Committee went into Executive Session.
Council Member Romero and Senior Assistant Corporation Council Brett Williams
discussed Ordinance 16.71.22.
Council Member(s) Farrell, Romero, Kimbrough and Frederick, and City Clerk Danielle
Gillespie discussed what committees Ordinance 16.71.22 would go to.
Council Member Hoey asked how long the people would be on the cannabis committee,
in which Council Member Romero responded to.
Council Member Balarin discussed about estimates of the cannabis revenue
Council Member Keegan discussed what the purpose of the ordinance and the cannabis
commission.
Council Member Romero responded to Council Member Balarins comments about the
revenue.
Council Member Farrell and Kimbrough discussed what went on during the leadership
meeting.
City Clerk Danielle Gillespie discussed about the redistricting of county level maps.
Council Member Hoey discussed who he will be meeting with to discuss his resolution
about fluoride.
President Pro Tem adjourned the meeting at 6:02pm

Notice is hereby given, that the Common Council of the City of Albany will be
holding a public hearing on July 7, 2022 regarding Ordinances 12.52.22. The Public
Hearing will be held at City Hall in the Common Council Chambers, Room 205 at
7:00 p.m. during a Regular Meeting of the Common Council.

IN THE CITY OF ALBANY, NEW YORK AND DEDICATING ANTHONY STREET TO
