COMMON COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETING FINANCE, TAXATION AND ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE Ginnie Farrell, Chair Meeting called by: Ginnie Farrell, Chair Date: 10-15-20 Time: 5:30PM Chief Joseph Gregory, Albany Fire Department Chief Eric Hawkins, Albany Police Department Deputy Chief Ed Donohue, Albany Police Department Invitees/Speakers Deputy Chief Brian Hogan, Albany Police Department Commander Darrell Gipson, Albany Police Department Chief Financial Officer Bridget Pardo, Albany Police Department Committee Members Farrell, Chair ☒ O’Brien ☒ Doesschate ☒ Robinson ☒ Balarin ☒ Present: Council Members Present: Ellis, Kimbrough, Igoe, Conti, Hoey, Fahey, Flynn City Personnel Bridget Pardo, Darrell Gipson, Mike Wheeler, Nick Riley, Nick Blais, John-Raphael Present: Pichardo, Michele Andre and Danielle Gillespie Minutes Agenda Item (s): Albany Police Department & Department of Fire and Emergency Services Budget Presentation Questions and Discussion:  Council Member Farrell called the meeting to order.  Chief Gregory presented the Department of Fire and Emergency Services 2021 proposed budget  Council members O’Brien, Doesschate, Conti, Balarin, Anane, Hoey, Fahey, Igoe, Frederick, asked questions in which Chief Gregory and Nick Riley answered.  Chief Gregory made a statement on the works of his firefighters and staff.  Chief Hawkins presented Albany Police Department 2021 proposed budget  Council members Doesschate, Balarin, Igoe, Conti, Hoey, Anane, O’Brien, Frederick, Love, Balarin, Kimbrough asked questions which Chief Hawkins, Nick Blais, Bridget Pardo and Deputy Brian Hogan answered.  Chief Hawkins made a statement on the work of his staff and the Council. Public Comment: There was no public comment. Adjourn: The Council member Doesschate asked for a motion to adjourn, which was duly made, seconded by Council member O’Brien, and passed.
