COMMON COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETING GENERAL SERVICE, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE Mike O’Brien, Chair Meeting called by: Cathy Fahey, Chair Date: 1-27-21 Time: 5:30PM Committee Members Present: O’Brien, Chair ☒ Anane ☒ Fahey ☒ Flynn ☐ Johnson ☒ Invitees/Speakers Sergio Panunzio, Commissioner, Department of General Service (DGS) Frank Zeoli, Deputy Commissioner, DGS Joe Giebelhaus, DGS Council Members Present: Kimbrough, Hoey and Conti City Personnel Present: John-Raphael Pichardo Minutes Agenda Item (s): RESOLUTION NUMBER 6.21.20R RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE EQUITY IN PEDESTRIAN SAFETY AND MOBILITY BY IMPROVING SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL FROM CITY SIDEWALKS, STREET CROSSINGS AND BUS STOPS Questions and Discussion • The Chair called the meeting to order. • Council member Fahey provide justification for Resolution 6.21.20R • Council member O’Brien and Love asked questions in which Sergio Panunzio, Frank Zeoli, Joe Giebelhaus and Council member Fahey answered • Council member Anane, Love and Doesschate spoke on Resolution 6.21.20R. • The Chair open up public comment • Council member Anane made a motion to move Resolution 6.21.20R out of committee with a positive recommendation, which was seconded by Council Member Johnson. The motion passed unanimous. • Council member O’Brien thanked Department General Services • Sergio Panunzio and Michele Andre asked questions in which Council member Fahey and Frank Zeoli answered Public Comment: Leah Golby, Albany, NY (Support Resolution 6.21.20R) Adjourn: Chair asked for a motion to adjourn, which was duly made, seconded, and passed.
