After discussing the proposal to replace the existing wood and vinyl windows with wood-clad UPVC windows, replace the existing
Jay Street entry, and repair the existing stucco, the Commission made the following recommendations-
Provide the proposed window specifications from the manufacturer and material samples;
Provide examples of where the proposed windows with the wood cladding have been installed in historic districts;
Provide any case studies of completed projects where the applicant has installed the proposed windows with wood
cladding;
Retain the historic trim, paneled sidelites, and tri-part transom in their current configuration at the Jay Street entry and
only replace the non-original fiberglass door and sidelites;
Replace the non-original fiberglass door with either a new single entry door or a set of single lite double doors;
Provide information about the cornice flashing on the North elevation and the proposed cornice and cladding
treatment; and
Provide any information on proposed lighting and signage.

Information on the July 21st Workshop
The expiration of Executive Order 202.109 has required that the July 21st Historic Resources
Commission Public Workshop have an in-person component. As a result, members of the
Historic Resources Commission will be attending the Public Workshop in the Second Floor
Community Room at 200 Henry Johnson Boulevard. The Historic Resources Commission Public
Workshop can also be attended via Zoom Teleconference and Videoconference. Members of
the public can provide public comment through Zoom or in person.
Members of the public and applicants that wish to attend the Public Hearing and Meeting in
person will be required to complete contact tracing and individuals who are not completely
vaccinated will be required to wear a mask at all times in the building.
The non-COVID maximum seated occupancy of the Second Floor Community Room is 39
people and the gallery will have seating for 20 people. If the room has the potential to exceed
maximum seated occupancy, members of the public and applicants for cases not currently
being presented will be required to leave the Second Floor Community Room until their case/s
appear on the agenda.
