SHEEHAN NE W YOR K DIRECTOR: BRADLEY GLASS DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT CONTACT: Erin Glennon Historic Resources Commission hrc@albanyny.gov Historic Resources Commission Public Hearing Date: Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Location: 200 Henry Johnson Blvd, 2nd Floor Community Room and Teleconference and Videoconference via Zoom Time: 6:00 PM Present: Members: Geraghty, Hacker, Kaplan, McEneny, Myers, Tobin Planning Staff: Glennon DISPOSITION OF CASES PROJECT # 00412 Application(s) COA 0785 Property Address 108 Lark Street Owner Hasan Saleh Historic District Lark Street After discussing the proposal to install the aluminum and glass storefront system, the Commission voted to approve the application with the following conditions-  The aluminum vertical infill panel between the storefront and second floor entry must be removed and cut down to match the dimensions of the northwest corner panel;  Wood or composite trim work/detailing should be installed around the second floor entry to differentiate the entryway from the storefront;  The aluminum storefront system should not be painted;  The vertical infill panels should be shortened to be in line with base of the inset storefront panels; and  The applicant must provide updated drawings reflecting the conditions to Planning Staff and the Chair, John Myers. ACTION: Approve with Conditions Motion to ACTION: C. Hacker Second: E. Tobin Vote: 6-0 PROJECT # 00381 Application(s) COA 0838 Property Address 191 North Pearl Street Owner 191 North Pearl Street, LLC- Ron Stein Historic District Clinton Avenue/North Pearl Street/Clinton Square After discussing the proposal construct a 4-story residential structure on a vacant corner lot, the Commission voted to approve the application as designed with the following condition-  The applicant must provide the Planning Staff a section drawings of the proposed rooftop stairwell structure and parapet with the proposed railing details if visible from the public Right-of-Way. As a result, members of the Historic Resources Commission will be attending the Public Workshop in the Second Floor Community Room at 200 Henry Johnson Boulevard. The Historic Resources Commission Public Workshop can also be attended via Zoom Teleconference and Videoconference. Members of the public can provide public comment through Zoom or in person. Members of the public and applicants that wish to attend the Public Workshop and Hearing in person will be required to wear a mask at all times in the building and complete contact tracing. The non-COVID maximum seated occupancy of the Second Floor Community Room is 39 people and the gallery will have seating for 20 people. If the room has the potential to exceed maximum seated occupancy, members of the public and applicants for cases not currently being presented will be required to leave the Second Floor Community Room until their case/s appear on the agenda.
