MINUTES MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALBANY HELD JUNE 2, 2020, VIA VIDEO CONFERENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES ISSUED BY NYS DUE TO COVID-19. ATTENDEES: Thomas McNaughton, Commissioner, Chair Linda Jackson-Chalmers, Commissioner Michael Cassidy, Commissioner Peachie Jones, Law Department Sandra Coleman, Human Resources Generalist III Celia Gonzalez, Director of Human Resources (City of Albany) I. Call to order  Commissioner McNaughton called the meeting to order at 4:48 p.m. II. Approval of minutes  The Commission unanimously accepted the meeting minutes for the April 29th and May 28th meetings as written. III. Report of appointments to the Competitive, Non-Competitive, Exempt and Labor Class  The Civil Service Office reported on the following Provisional -Competitive Class appointments: NAME TITLE AGENCY/DEPARTMENT DATE Jeffrey Hunt Public Works Foreperson DGS 5/4/2020 Jessica Morgan Public Works Foreperson DGS 5/4/2020 Matthew Tucker Public Works Foreperson DGS 5/4/2020 Human Resources Meaghan DePaula Generalist II Administrative Services 5/11/2020 Tanya Beauzile Customer Contact Specialist Water & Water Supply 5/18/2020  The Civil Service Office reported on the following Non-Competitive Class appointments: NAME TITLE AGENCY/DEPARTMENT DATE Devin Harding Laborer II DGS 4/7/2020 Jose Vega Laborer II APD 5/18/2020 IV. Amendment of Job Specifications  Financial Analyst  Internal Claims Auditor The Commission voted unanimously to amend the job descriptions for the titles listed above.  V. Police DQs  The Commission unanimously voted to disqualify the attached applicants from list #60-584 Police Officer. VI. Police Officer Temporary Withdrawals  The Commission unanimously accepted the temporary withdrawals from the candidates attached for the current round of canvassing. VII. New Business  Update given on the status of the Commissioners’ pay  Resolution #20-01 to postpone Civil service examinations in the City of Albany Municipal Government i. The Commission voted unanimously to table the resolution to the next meeting pending edits to the resolution and additional information. VIII.
