MINUTES MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALBANY HELD JANUARY 27, 2021, VIA VIDEO CONFERENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES ISSUED BY NYS DUE TO COVID-19. Call to order  Commissioner Jackson-Chalmers called the meeting to order at 4:36 p.m. II. Approval of minutes  The Commission voted unanimously to accept the minutes from the January 6, 2021 meeting as written.  III. Firefighter Non-Selections  No EMT Certification – The Commission voted unanimously to accept the non- selections for the following candidates and under the listed reason for disqualification. NAME Thomas Regal The Commission moved to Executive Session at 4:39 PM to discuss matters leading to the appointment of a particular person(s). The Commission left Executive Session at 5:57 PM and unanimously voted to deny the appeal of AA and RH, SM’s appeal is pending further information. V. Telecommunications Specialist Appeals – see above VI. Police Officer Appeals – see above VII. Adoption of Job Specifications – The Commission voted unanimously to adopt the job specifications for the titles listed below.  Housing Eligibility Coordinator  Housing Program Manager  Senior Housing Authority Inspector  Senior Housing Eligibility Assistant VIII. Amendment of Job Specifications - NONE IX. Old Business  2020 Postponed Exams (applications) – The Commission voted unanimously to keep existing applicant pool and only establish the resulting list for 1 year. The exams will be held again in 2022 and will continue on their two year rotation. X. New Business - NONE XI.
